1. Agreement to Terms

By using Startups of the World at startupsoftheworld.com ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Startups of the World is a free, global directory of startups displayed on an interactive map. Founders can submit their startups at no cost. Optional paid featured placements are available for increased visibility.

3. Startup Submissions

• Submissions must be for real, legitimate startups.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
• Submissions are reviewed by AI moderation and may be held for manual review.
• We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing at our sole discretion.
• Do not submit spam, fake companies, or misleading content.

4. Featured Placements

Featured placements are one-off purchases that give your startup a larger map pin and highlighted card for a fixed duration. All payments are processed by Stripe. Fees are non-refundable once the featured period has begun.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape or crawl the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content are owned by Startups of the World and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Startup listings remain the property of their respective founders.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, nor the accuracy of any listing content.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Startups of the World shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
